This place was a great match for a budget stay in Stroud with very good value for money. I enjoyed a tasty evening meal with good local beer that really made my stay enjoyable. Keep in mind the walls can be thin, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

food is really great, proper home cooked and the staff were super helpful and friendly. the place is perfect if ur just stopping over, especially close to the motorway. breakfast was a nice touch n the room was comfy enough for our needs. overall, had a nice lil stay!
the room wasn’t en-suite which was kinda a bummer, had to go across the hall for that. also, it was a bit noisy at night with all the pub activity.

Private patios in rooms, locally sourced beers, engaging evening entertainment
Noise levels from surrounding bar activities are a real issue!!! Thin walls lead to disruptive sounds from neighboring guests, affecting relaxation. Early pub closing times are inconvenient for late-night access to rooms!!! Improve bathroom heating for comfort during chilly nights!!!

For a quieter stay, request a room away from the dining area to minimize noise from dining and kitchen activities.

We had a lovely stay at this pub with my niece. The staff were wonderfully friendly, and we enjoyed playing billiards while waiting for our food. The triple room was spacious and immaculate, and the breakfast was a genuine treat with a great selection.
In my wife’s opinion, it would be great if the decor got a refreshing update, especially in the dining area.

would come again
The room was really comfy with a nice seating area and a private patio outside. It had a TV, fan, and all the bathroom stuff you need like shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Breakfast was fantastic with a mix of cereals, freshly baked croissants, and a well-cooked vegetarian full English. Plus, the service from the staff was super friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere at The Clothiers Arms was warm and inviting, with charming decor that felt both rustic and modern. The staff were exceptionally helpful, making my stay very comfortable and easy, especially with their assistance carrying my luggage.
A slightly larger shower cubicle would be better.

Lovely stay with tasty food
I was in the lodgemore room, super clean and spacious! The highlight was the pigs liver and mash special from the restaurant, OMG, so good! The bar had a nice selection of local drinks too, all served with friendly smiles. Just wished the bathroom wasn't so far from the room. awkward at night!

Excellent breakfast and cozy atmosphere
I had a lovely stay in the Superior Twin Room, with pleasant staff and an impressively cooked breakfast that truly exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in the food made it clear they value quality. My only drawback was the weak water pressure in the shower, which could be improved for a more comfortable experience.

Fantastic meals and welcoming atmosphere
I had a wonderful stay with my family, thoroughly enjoying the delicious meals and the warm hospitality from the staff. The meals were not only well-presented but also generous in portion sizes, especially the vegetarian options which were thoughtfully catered for. Our room had an inviting private patio, perfect for relaxing after our activities. I did find the noise levels from the pub environment a bit higher than expected during the evening.

Unique room setup with direct access to the bar area adds a social feel, perfect for pub enthusiasts. The patio feature in some rooms likely enhances the stay with outdoor air outside your door.
The restricted access rooms present an inconvenience, especially with entry limited to pub hours. Walking past the smelly toilets to the room can be off-putting, and the general decor appears a bit dated, which might need a spruce-up. The bathroom showed signs of wear—mold on the bath mat and an old shower curtain could leave guests feeling less than fresh.

Check-in was smooth. I got an early check-in, which was great. The room had a nice private patio, perfect for relaxing. The bed felt super comfortable. I enjoyed the low water pressure in the shower, but it worked fine. Breakfast was top-notch. Freshly cooked and huge portions! Staff were friendly and attentive, especially during breakfast. the noise levels from the pub below were quite bothersome at night. I could hear conversations clearly, which disturbed my sleep. Walls seemed thin. I even heard snoring from the next room. Parking was easy, and the location is convenient for exploring Stroud. The pub atmosphere was lively but a bit too loud for my taste. I appreciated the welcoming staff, but the noise level needs addressing.
